THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL, MEETING A WEEK AGO, APPROVED SLIGHT INCREASES IN WATER AND GARBAGE RATES FOR 2021.
THE COUNCIL WOULD APPARENTLY MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ELECTRIC RATE LATER THIS YEAR, IF WHOLESALE POWER PRICES GO UP.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, LAST WEEK, MET WITH GARY WEIERS FROM DAVID DROWN ASSOCIATES; WEIERS IS WORKING ON RECRUITING A HIGHWAY ENGINEER FOR THE COUNTY.
STATE STATUTE REQUIRES COUNTIES TO EMPLOY A HIGHWAY ENGINEER, AND ROSEAU COUNTY HAS BEEN WITHOUT AN ENGINEER SINCE BRIAN KETRING LEFT FOR A JOB WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LAST SPRING.
THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION SHOWS A SALARY RANGE BETWEEN 115 AND 140 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

 

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REPORTED THIRTEEN NEW CONFIRMED COVID CASES IN ROSEAU COUNTY OVER THE PAST WEEK, FOR A TOTAL OF 1654 SINCE THE PANDEMIC BEGAN IN THE COUNTY LAST APRIL.

BRAATEN WOULD WORK FOUR DAYS A WEEK FOR THE SCHOOL, PRIMARILY ON CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT IS PARTNERING WITH CRIME STOPPERS OF MINNESOTA.
