Funeral Services for Lucinda Hoops of Baudette, MN will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be from 5- 7pm Sunday November 17th at the church and Mass of Christian Burial at 1030 AM with Visitation starting 1 hour before on November 18th.
Lucinda Passed away at the age of 54.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture mailed ballots last
week for the Farm Service Agency county committee elections to all eligible agricultural
producers and private landowners across the country. Elections are occurring in certain Local
Administrative Areas for these committee members who make important decisions
about how federal farm programs are administered locally. Producers and landowners must
return ballots to their local FSA county office or have their ballots postmarked by Dec. 2, 2024,
for those ballots to be counted.
THE WARROAD RIVERPLACE IS PUTTING TOGETHER A COMMUNITY CHOIR THAT WILL PERFORM A CHRISTMAS CONCERT ON DECEMBER 7, AND THE FIRST REHEARSAL IS THIS SUNDAY. INTERESTED SINGERS THAT ARE 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THIS AND TWO ADDITIONAL REHEARSALS AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD. ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME. THE MINNESOTA DNR ANNOUNCED THAT THEY ARE MAINTAINING A TWO WALLEYE LIMIT ON MILLE LACS LAKE FOR THE COMING WINTER ICE FISHING SEASON, AND WILL BE MAINTAINING A FOUR WALLEYE LIMIT ON UPPER RED LAKE. IN BOTH CASES, POPULATION NUMBERS ARE HEADING IN TEH RIGHT DIRECTION.
THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD MET EARLIER THIS WEEK, AT WHICH TIME THEY HEARD FROM BRITT DAHL WITH THE ROSEAU COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY WITH THEIR 2025 APPROPRIATIONS REQUEST.
THEY ALSO APPROVED MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING WHERE THEY HELD A PUBLIC HEARING AND UNANIMOUSLY PASSED AN ORDINANCE ON CANNABIS BUSINESS. THEY ESSENTIALLY PASSED AN ORDINANCE THAT IS AS STRICT AS IS ALLOWED.
THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM CONTINUES TO SEEK PARTIES WHO WOULD LIKE TO DECORATE A TREE FOR THEIR “LIGHT UP THE MUSEUM” EVENT, WHICH WILL KICK OFF LATER THIS MONTH WITH A PROGRAM AND THEN REMAIN OPEN THROUGH THE HOLIDAY SEASON. THAT CAN BE DONE AS AN INDIVIDUAL, BUSINESS, OR ORGANIZATION.
