THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD, LAST NIGHT,  APPROVED NEXT YEAR’S PROPERTY TAX LEVY AT  TWO-POINT-SIX TWO TWO  MILLION DOLLARS;  THAT’S  A  2.39% INCREASE OVER THE CURRENT YEAR, AND IS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE INCREASE.

THE SCHOOL BOARD HELD THEIR STATE-REQUIRED TRUTH IN TAXATION MEETING LAST NIGHT,  WITH NO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE.

 

A BILL UNDER CONSIDERATION IN CONGRESS WOULD INCREASE DISASTER FUNDING FOR FARMERS BY  ONE AND A HALF BILLION DOLLARS.

THERE IS ALREADY THREE BILLION DOLLARS AVAILABLE FOR FARMERS AFFECTED BY NATURAL DISASTERS IN 2019.
