THE ROSEAU COUNTY SHERIFF RELEASED INFORMATION ON AN ATTEMPTED SUICIDE BY AN INMATE IN THE JAIL. YESTERDAY AFTERNOON A 33-YEAR OLD MALE ATTEMPTED TO TAKE HIS OWN LIFE WITH THE USE OF A BED SHEET. THEY WERE TRANSPORTED TO LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER FOR TREATMENT.
THE LAKE OF THE WOODS SCHOOL DISTRICT IS OFFERING A SURVEY TO PARENTS, STAFF, AND ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT WILL HELP THEM DETERMINE PRIORITIES AND NEED AREAS. NORTHLAND COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE HAS BEEN AWARDED A $7.3 MILLION NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION GRANT FOR AUTONOMOUS TECHNOLOGY. THAT WILL MOSTLY BENEFIT THE AEROSPACE PROGRAM AT THE THEIF RIVER FALLS CAMPUS.

A Graveside service for Sharon A. Lane-Eckert will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00AM at Hope Cemetery in Roseau, MN. The family would like to invite all who attend to a lunch and time of fellowship held after the burial at the Roseau City Park.
Sharon passed away at the age of 76.
