Based on data provided by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Education regarding new COVID cases in Roseau County during the past 14 days and through close communication with the Roseau County Public Health Department, the Roseau School District will implement the Hybrid Learning model for students in grades 7-12 beginning Monday, September. The Hybrid Learning model will be utilized for a period of no less than two weeks. Students, divided into two groups, will attend in person on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, with staff available to students on Fridays. A memorial service for Colby R. Brunk of Warroad, MN will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN (that is a time change from 4:30 as previously announced) due to current MN Department of Health guidelines with Covid-19 this will be for close friends and family. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A SMALL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES AT LIFECARE GREENBUSH MANOR RECENTLY TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19. THOSE EMPLOYEES WERE ALL ASYMPOTAMATIC, AND BASED ON CONTACT TRACING THEY HAD ALL USED APPROPRIATE PPE AND FOLLOWED ALL MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH GUILDELINES WHILE CARING FOR RESIDENTS. THE POSITIVE TESTS WERE DISCOVERED DUE TO A CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID REQUIRMENT TO BEGIN TESTING ALL STAFF AT LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES THAT BECAME EFFECTIVE ON SEPTEMBER 2ND.
THE CITY OF MIDDLE RIVER ANNOUNCED IT WILL HOLD IT’S ANNUAL GOOSE FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 25TH THROUGH 27TH. THEY’LL ENCOURAGE SOCIAL DISTANCING THROUGHOUT THE EVENT, AND FACE COVERINGS IN INDOOR SPACES WHERE DISTANCING ISN’T POSSIBLE. GOOSEFEST HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN AWARDED EVENT OF THE YEAR FROM EXPLORE MINNESOTA TOURISM.
