TWENTY-FIVE CASES ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE.
A ROSEAU COUNTY ‘CARES’ ACT COMMITTEE HEARD LAST WEEK THAT $ 481,650 HAS BEEN SENT TO 72 COUNTY BUSINESSES THAT SUFFERED FINANCIAL LOSSES FROM MARCH THROUGH JULY DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC. THERE WERE 135 APPLICATIONS THROUGH THE DUE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 15TH, AND THIRTY-FIVE REMAIN UNDER CONSIDERATION. THE COUNTY IS NOW SEEKING APPLICATIONS FROM NONPROFITS THROUGH OCTOBER 9TH FOR A SECOND ROUND OF ‘CARES’ ACT FUNDING.
