THE PRELIMINARY EXPENDITURE BUDGET PROJECTS A SHORTFALL OF AROUND ONE-POINT-FIVE MILLION DOLLARS FOR NEXT YEAR .

THE LIBRARY SYSTEM IS SEEKING A TWO PERCENT FUNDING INCREASE FROM CITIES AND COUNTIES. TROJANOWSKI SAYS WALK-INS THROUGHOUT THE NORTHWEST SYSTEM WERE AT 40,326 THROUGH JULY OF THIS YEAR; THAT COMPARES WITH 108,720 THE FIRST SEVEN MONTHS OF 2019. THERE WERE 9655 WALK-INS IN ROSEAU THROUGH JULY OF THIS YEAR; 6370 IN WARROAD, AND 1390 IN GREENBUSH. ALL OF THOSE NUMBERS ARE DOWN FROM LAST YEAR, DUE IN LARGE PART TO THE PANDEMIC.
