Reinhart Zarling Jr. of Badger passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2022 in Roseau, MN.
Reinhart Ivan Zarling Jr. was born on June 6, 1956 in Drayton, ND to Reinhart Sr. and Gladyce (Thompson) Zarling. He graduated from Karlstad High School and started trucking. Reinhart throughout his life trucked for Byflugien Trucking and Woinarowicz hauling sugar beets for more than 25 years, and helped at Dahl’s Farming in Donaldson, MN. Reinhart loved to play bingo, shoot pool, and go hunting.
Reinhart was preceded in death by his parents, Reinhart and Gladyce; sisters, Helen Fredericks, Ione Trenbath, and Jean Parker; and brother Harvey Zarling.
Reinhart is survived by his children, Robert (Lenore) Zarling of Lengby, MN, Suzi (Eric) Shaugabay of Warroad, MN, Trisha (Michael) Vacura of Salol, MN; fiance, Cynthia Dahan; grandkids, Gage, Jori, and Anders Shaugabay, Michael Vacura Jr., and Justin Zarling; brother, James Halvorson of Karlstad; nieces Cheri Fredericks and Jannaya Nelson; very special friends Merlin and Kelly Lindland, and Lyla Gust; and all his apartment friends.
A Celebration of Life for Reinhart Zarling Jr. will take place at The Phoenix Restaurant and Lounge in Warroad on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 11:00am.
