THE WINNER PLAYS EITHER WHITE BEAR LAKE or CHAMPLIN PARK TOMORROW. MOORHEAD, BEMIDJI AND GRAND RAPIDS ARE ALSO PLAYING IN THE V.F.W. TOURNAMENT, WHICH STARTED AS PART OF THE ST PAUL WINTER CARNIVAL IN 1956. ROSEAU WON SIX OF THE FIRST NINE V.F.W. TOURNAMENTS, AND HAS HOSTED EIGHT TIMES (MOST RECENTLY IN 1995).
THE STATE CLASS “A” BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT STARTED YESTERDAY; SECTION 8 CHAMP ADA-BORUP RALLIED PAST CROMWELL/WRIGHT 49-39. MASON MILLER HAD 19 POINTS AND 17 REBOUNDS FOR THE COUGARS, WHO PLAY NORTH WOODS TODAY. TOP SEED SPRINGFIELD LOST 78-67 TO SPRING GROVE.
