ROSEAU’S BOYS TRACK TEAM WAS SECOND, BEHIND EAST GRAND FORKS; AND THE RAMS’ GIRLS WERE FOURTH AT YESTERDAY’S WARREN ‘FROZEN FOUR’ TRACK MEET. THIEF RIVER FALLS WAS THE GIRLS TEAM WINNER.
THE RAMS’ JACOB LINDEMANN WON THE DISCUS; JEREMIAH BENDER WON THE TRIPLE JUMP; PETER VANDEWEGHE TOOK THE 110 METER HURDLES; KYLE ERICKSON WAS FIRST INI THE 300 METER HURDLES; STEELE WALSH AND ADAM LePARD WERE FIRST AND SECOND IN THE HIGH JUMP, AND WALSH WAS THIRD IN THE LONG JUMP.
BEN OLSON, JERRY STROOT AND NOLAN HANSON FINISHED 3RD, 4TH AND 5TH IN THE 100 METER DASH; AND ERICK LAZNICKA WAS 2ND IN THE 800 METER RUN.
ON THE GIRLS SIDE, SOPHIE HELGESON TOOK THE 200 METER DASH, AND WAS 2ND IN THE 100 METER DASH; KATE HELGESON WAS 2ND IN THE 800 METER RUN; NIKKI ALARUS WAS 3RD IN THE 100 METER HURDLES AND 4TH IN THE 100 METER DASH; AND ROSEMUND STROOT WAS 3RD IN THE 200 METER DASH.
U.N.D. HOCKEY COACH BRAD BERRY HAS FIRED ASSISTANT MATT SHAW. SHAW HAD BEEN HEAD COACH OF THE DUBUQUE FIGHTING SAINTS OF THE U.S. HOCKEY LEAGUE BEFORE COMING TO GRAND FORKS. A GRAND FORKS HERALD STORY SAYS ROSEAU’S ERIK FABIAN IS ONE OF A LONG LIST OF POSSIBLE SUCCESSORS. FABIAN HAD BEEN AN ASSISTANT COACH WITH THE NORTH DAKOTA WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM.
