Roseau County has 55 Positive Cases; with 0 new cases reported today; 8 ACTIVE Cases; 47 having recovered (out of isolation).
The World Health Organization says that a 14-day positive test rate of below 5 percent is the key to keeping businesses open.
Friday’s update includes 738 new cases of the coronavirus, eight of which have been removed for an official count of 730. Those positive cases are the result of 16,917 diagnostic tests, creating a daily test positivity rate of 4.32%.
Minnesota’s test positivity rate – based on positive results divided by total number of tests – over a 7-day rolling average, based on MDH data, as of Friday, is 4.56%. Note: Due to reporting delays and changes, the daily testing totals are subject to change.
“If you go above 5 percent it indicates that you may be heading back into a phase of more rapid spread of the disease,” said MDH Commissioner Jan Malcolm.
The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 increased from 308 to 313 though the number of patients in the ICU dipped slightly from 154 to 152.
However, Minnesota healthcare facilities have a maximum capacity of 2,182 ICU beds, of which there are currently 1,045 in use.
Statewide:
- Tests: 1,219,816 (up from 1,203,559)
- Positive cases: 63,723 (up from 62,993)
- Deaths: 1,693 (up from 1,685)
- Currently hospitalized: 313 (up from 308)
- Patients in intensive care: 152 (down from 154)
- Patients no longer requiring isolation: 56,659 (up from 56,346)
