Tyler Lawrence Carr, beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2025, at the age of 35. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tyler was born on May 12, 1989, in Thief River Falls to Timothy and Jolien Carr. He grew up in Warroad and graduated from Warroad High School in 2008. Throughout his life, Tyler was known for his hard work, his caring nature, and his devotion to his family and friends. He worked at Doug’s, Intercept Industries, and most recently at Marvin Windows and Doors. A proud forklift operator, Tyler had the honor of working alongside his father, Timothy and loved being able to share their lunch breaks together.

On September 11, 2018, Tyler was joined in marriage to Naeomi Johnson. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter, and Tyler was a devoted father to their children. He enjoyed spending time with them, playing games, swimming, sharing stories, and watching their favorite TV shows. Tyler was also known for his remarkable skill with tools and was always willing to take on home projects to make their life better.

Beyond his family, Tyler had a deep love for the outdoors. He cherished hunting with his dad and twin brother, Josh, and enjoyed fishing and camping. Many fond memories were made as the trio set up deer stands, shared quiet moments together, and enjoyed each other’s company. Tyler also had a special bond with his nieces and nephews, who adored him and will always remember him fondly as “Uncle Ty.”

Tyler had a heart as big as his spirit. He was always ready to lend a hand or offer support, and he would do anything for those he loved. His passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, loyalty, and kindness will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. We will miss his hugs and his “I love yous”.

Tyler is survived by his loving wife, Naeomi, their children, Hunter, Carter, Ana, Leo and Theodore; his parents Timothy and Jolien Carr of Warroad, MN; his grandpa Lawrence Carr of Hazen, ND; sister Amanda (Bill) Bendickson of Warroad, MN; twin brother Josh (Whitney) Carr of Lancaster, MN; sister Micaela (Shawn) Storey of Warroad, MN; nieces and nephews Ivan, Aubrey, Raylyn, Jonas (Amanda and Bill), Parker, Easton, Colton, Baylor (Josh and Whitney), Sawyer, Lawson, McCoy, Stetson (Micaela and Shawn).
